Axiomtek Introduces Wide Temperature Pico-ITX SBC with Intel® Atom™ Processor – The PICO840
Axiomtek, one of the world’s leading designers and manufacturers of innovative, high performance and reliable PC-based industrial computer products, is proud to announce the release of the PICO840, an ultra-compact Pico-ITX embedded SBC, which utilizes the latest quad-core Intel® Atom™ processor E3845 (1.91GHz) or E3827(1.75GHz) (code name: Bay Trail-I).
Considering different environments, this industrial grade Pico-ITX motherboard is built to withstand extreme temperatures, ranging from -40°C to +70°C (-40°F to +158°F). Moreover, with superior integration and power efficiency, the PICO840 enables system developers and OEMs to create smaller, lighter, and quieter devices. The PICO840 can be integrated into POS systems, mobile medical monitors, compact panel PCs as well as embedded computers and various devices.
The PICO840 comes with multiple I/O connections, including four high-speed USB 2.0 ports, two Gigabit Ethernet ports, and two RS-232/422/485 serial ports, for flexible machine-to-machine connections
The 18/24-bit dual channel LVDS and VGA (or HDMI) are supported for multimedia playback. In order to meet different kinds of the storage demands, this optimized palm-sized embedded board comes with mSATA support and one SATA-3Gb/s connector. The PICO840 comes equipped with the AX93283 I/O board, which provides system integrators with a less cabling solution. By connecting the I/O board through high speed sockets, system integrators can get the most flexible I/O choices to optimize their application requirements.
