Google unveils new Nexus

Google has announce the new Nexus 7 which will come with Android 4.3.

The Asus-made tablet is 2mm thinner than its predecessor with a reduced side bezels

The table comes with full HD resolution (1920 x 1200) 7” screen, a quadcore 1.5GHz Snapdragon S4 Pro processor, 2GB ram, 5MP back camera, 1.2MP front-facing camera, stereo speakers, NFC connectivity and running on Android 4.3.

There’s also a HDMI output, which is great if you would like to hook up to a big screen.

Google says, you get 9hrs of HD video playback or 10hr web browsing

For you 4G lovers, there will also be a 4G LTE model available, that will follow a little late on.

The new Nexus 7 US release date is July 30 for the Wi-Fi model, which will set you back $229 for the 16GB model & $269 for the 32GB model

The 32GB LTE model will set you back $349 once it becomes available.

No official word on UK availability or pricing as of yet.

LG Sky now TV partnership

LG has announced it has partnered with sky to offer Now TV as part of LG smart TV line-up.

Now TV is Sky’s non-subscription on-demand offering sports and movies contents.

LG smart TV owners will be able to download the app to their smart TV once the service goes live in august.

Now TV set-top box

Talking about Now TV, you can now pick up a Now TV box for £10.

The set-top box looks just like a Roku LT but in white and offers the user access to Now TV, BBC iPlayer & Sky News all on your TV with the needs of a satellite dish.

It connects to your TV via HDMI and then connects to your internet via Wi-Fi, which then lets you watch the contents.

Now TV lets you buy access to Sky Sports for £9.99 a day, or Sky Movies for £15 a month.

Sky has also said, it be adding more contents and apps to the Now TV box over the coming months.
