Powertel 710 talking cordless telephone

Every time you press a button on the PowerTel 710, it calls out the numbers to you. With voice prompts to fit the needs of blind and visually impaired people. And, for those who aren’t technically minded or mislaid the instruction manual – the phone literally talks you through all menus. Talking keys announce their function so you always know exactly what you’re doing.

Along with big buttons the PowerTel 710 is crystal clear even at very loud volumes (earpiece over 40dB, ringer over 90dB). In fact the handset is so loud that it has two user profiles – so one family member can have it at a much higher volume than everyone else.

Amplicomms has bowled us over with the new PowerTel 710. We’re very excited about selling it because it’s the first of its kind – a cordless home phone where all the features are truly accessible for blind people. It’s easy for everyone to use. Simon McLean, technology product manager at the RNIB
