MediaDevil launches ultra-thin anti-bacterial and clear Typeguards
MediaDevil, today announces the launch of its two ultra-thin, Anti-Bacterial and Clear edition Typeguard keyboard protectors for the Apple Macbook and Macbook Pro. The waterproof keyboard covers protect from dust, liquid spills and other contaminants.
The Anti-Bacterial Typeguard edition is the ideal choice for people sharing a computer or those concerned about germs being spread. The cover is embedded with silver nanoparticles that are scientifically proven to prevent the growth of over 600 types of bacteria. The Clear edition Typeguard is practically invisible when applied. Both editions are transparent to allow back-lit keys to shine through.
Computer keyboards can harbour more harmful bacteria than a toilet seat, research has found*. With many workers eating lunch over their keyboards, food crumbs encourage the growth of bacteria, including E.coli and staphylococcus aureus, which cause food poisoning. Poor hand washing and sharing keyboards compounds the problem.
Both editions of the Typeguard are over 50 percent thinner than regular silicon protectors, and are engineered from 0.2mm ultra-thin, non-toxic, high grade (low friction) Thermoplastic Urethane (TPU). Precise injection moulding and ultra-thin styling minimises interference while typing, and reduces keystroke noise. The Typeguard is easy to apply, uses no adhesive, is washable and reusable.
